Steamed New Potatoes

New season potatoes are a firm favorite and complement any meal, whether it's salads, fish dishes, or roasts. The AGA simmering oven offers a fuss-free way to cook them while preserving their superb flavor and nutrients. Alternatively, you can simmer them on the hotplate or induction until they are tender.

Steamed New Potatoes

Serves 4

700g baby new potatoes, halved 

½ tsp salt

Preparation Time: 2 minutes. Cooking Time: 35 minutes.

1. Place the potatoes and salt in a medium-sized pan and cover up to two-thirds with boiling water.

2. Bring back to the boil on the boiling plate, hotplate on boiling setting or induction on high and boil for 5 minutes.

3. Drain off the water, cover the pan with a lid and place in the simmering oven, use the floor grid if required. Cook for 30 -40 minutes until tender.
