ERA is a mix of evolution and revolution. It’s where technology meets design and where heritage meets modernity. And it’s where glass is used extensively for the first time to create a striking, unified aesthetic that is beautiful, contemporary and fits perfectly into a modern kitchen.
The all-electric AGA ERA features two large capacity cast-iron radiant heat-storage ovens, a fan oven, a powerful grill, four-zone induction hob and a controllable cast-iron hotplate, all wrapped in a contemporary black glass fascia and polished chrome trim.
AGA food tastes better because cast-iron heat-storage ovens use gentle radiant heat to retain the food’s moisture, flavour, texture and goodness. AGA ERA has two cast-iron heat-storage ovens – one for roasting and baking and one for long, slow simmering.
The roasting and baking oven has eight temperature settings; from high temperature roasting (R9) to gentle baking (B1) and heats up in just 60 minutes. Both cast-iron ovens have an internal Altrashell™ coating plus removable door liners for ease of cleaning.
Behind the lower glass door is a conventional fan oven with nine temperature settings( B1 to R9) and a heat up time of 15 minutes. The fan oven door features a heat reflective, tinted window and the oven is internally lit to view your cooking.
All three ovens feature large doors with magnetic closures.
The roasting and baking oven cavity includes an integrated 2.1kW grill which provides four grilling positions; the higher positions for fast cooking and the lower positions for slower cooking.
Featuring a large cast-iron hotplate which holds up to four pans and can be set to either boiling or simmering mode. The hotplate heats up in under 12 minutes and has a cast-iron vitreous enamel surround for resting pans.
The iconic AGA hotplate cover and handle has evolved with a new sleek, polished chrome geometric design.
ERA has a simple touch-control, four-zone induction hob for fast, safe and energy-efficient cooking.
It includes a bridging function on both the left and right hand sides for use with a griddle or large pans. Features also include, boil dry detection, timer, pot detection, child lock, pause button and ‘power boost’ function which provides ten minutes of maximum power.
AGA ERA ovens and the cast-iron hotplate are controlled using a state-of-the-art touch-screen control panel, hidden beneath the top glass door.
The cooker also includes a hand-held programmer to pre-set the cast-iron heat-storage ovens so that it is ready to cooker whenever you are.
