Rather than converting or refurbishing an older AGA cooker, we recommend replacing it with a new cast-iron AGA cooker. You’ll benefit from the latest technology, greater control and flexibility, lower running costs and no regular servicing. Our AGA Trade-In Programme also offers 10% off a new cast-iron AGA cooker when you trade in your existing cast-iron AGA. Your local AGA Retailer can help you choose the right new cooker and explain the Trade-In Programme.
We don’t recommend having an AGA cooker converted. Older AGA cookers may already be decades old and, if previously reconditioned or refurbished, may have been rebuilt using parts from different cookers. Conversion also involves changing the cooker from its original fuel type, for example from solid fuel, oil or gas to electricity. It’s rather like buying a 30-year-old diesel car that started life as a petrol model. For greater reliability, efficiency and controllability, we recommend choosing a new cast-iron AGA cooker instead.
Yes. Depending on the model, it may be possible to change the colour of your AGA with our re-enamelling service. Find out more about re-enamelling here.

Please contact the Customer Experience team for advice on moving your cooker.

AGA cookers are renowned for their longevity. Many have remained at the heart of the home for decades.
While many older AGA cookers can be refurbished, we recommend replacing them with a new cast-iron AGA cooker rather than investing in an older appliance. A reconditioned AGA may already be more than 30 years old and rebuilt using parts from different cookers. If your AGA cooker is in good working order and you're simply looking to refresh its appearance, we also offer a professional re-enamelling service.
If you decide a new AGA is the right choice, our Trade-In Programme makes upgrading simple. You'll receive a trade-in allowance towards your new cooker, and we'll remove your existing AGA before delivering and installing your new one. A new AGA is built to order and offers the latest technology, greater controllability and flexibility, lower running costs, no regular servicing and features such as induction hob options on selected models. Your local AGA Retailer can help you choose the best solution for your home.
If you think there's a problem with your AGA, contact the Customer Experience team or your local AGA Retailer, who will be able to help diagnose the issue and arrange a service if required.
