We’re thrilled to announce that our latest launch – the hugely innovative ERA cooker – has won the coveted Editor’s Choice award in the product innovation category at this year’s prestigious designerati awards.
The event was held in the Bobby Moore room at London’s Wembley Stadium. ERA by AGA has been praised by designerati as a “shining example of disruptive, mould-breaking design”.
The Award
The award – presented by comedian, actor and radio and TV personality Tom Allen – was accepted by the team responsible for the Shropshire-made cooker’s striking aesthetic – AGA industrial design engineer Josh Bagshawe, AGA technical director David Carpenter and David Fisher, chief design consultant to AGA.
AGA technical director David Carpenter said: “The award goes to all the team at AGA who have worked on the project. The team overcame so many challenges, with real innovation in design and state-of-the-art technology to create a truly unique range cooker.”
ERA from AGA is a mix of evolution and revolution, where technology meets design and where heritage meets modernity. And it’s where glass is used extensively for the first time to create a striking, unified aesthetic that is beautiful, contemporary and fits perfectly into a modern kitchen.
It offers an all-in-one solution and it takes a sensory approach to cooking, with every feature touch-screen controlled, making the cooker fully programmable. This means you can have everything you love about radiant-heat cooking without using energy unnecessarily.
Alongside the two cast-iron ovens – which cook using radiant heat, an intuitive, kind-to-food way of cooking – there’s a conventional fan oven and on top there is an induction hob beside the traditional cast-iron hotplate. This means the AGA ERA offers the best of all worlds and is perfect for today’s kitchen. Learn more about AGA ERA.
