How to Cook a Turkey in your AGA

Raw turkey

Cooking turkey in an AGA is so easy but may seem daunting if this is your first Christmas with an AGA cooker or you are cooking for a crowd. AGA roast turkey is also delicious as the cast-iron ovens of an AGA cook using indirect radiant heat that seals meat, locking in the moisture and flavour.

The large AGA cast-iron ovens can fit a turkey up to 13kg or 28lbs and we would recommend allowing for 450g (1lb) per serving or 225g (8oz) for boned and breast-only roasts.

Pancakes and drop scones

Pancake day is one of our favourite days of the year and so to celebrate lovely AGA Demonstrator Naomi Hansell joined us live to talk about how to make the perfect pancake.

Find all of Naomi's fabulous recipes below and, if you missed our Facebook live, you can watch it here.

Homemade pizza is a huge treat and super easy too. You can do as much or as little as you like – you can buy a pre-made base and just add toppings, use shop-bought dough, or you can make it all from scratch.

Why Baking is Better in an AGA

Banana Bread

In times of trouble we often turn to pastimes that make us feel safe and secure and that offer a delightful sensory experience.

It’s perhaps because of this that over the past couple of weeks the world has fallen in love with baking banana bread and sourdough. Of course, many of us are whipping up all sorts of other delights but it’s these two treats that are taking over Instagram right now.
