 Aga Manufacturing 5

Documentary covers every aspect of how the iconic AGA cooker is manufactured – from the casting of the iron through to the painstaking enamel finishing process.

If you’ve ever wondered how the iconic AGA cooker is made, then a new ITV series provides all the answers. The world’s most famous cooker is one of the household name products being featured in ITV 4’s Made in Britain.

From the mass-produced to the hand crafted, the programme takes a brilliant behind-the-scenes look at how some of the country’s most recognisable brands are made.

Narrated by Jimmy Nail, each hour-long episode airs on Tuesday evenings at 8pm. Each features four much-loved brands and it is fascinating to see where, how and by whom these well-known everyday items are made.

The production process is followed in detail – from the casting of the iron through to the painstaking enamelling process, the assembly of the cooker and, finally, seeing the AGA in action cooking delicious food.

The episode featuring the AGA will air on Tuesday 4th December at 8pm.
