Margaret started off her working life as a Home Economics teacher and has a wealth of cooking experience. She pitches her AGA demonstrations to inspire new and potential owners and says she hopefully shows a few ideas to existing owners. Margaret is an AGA owner and loves cooking on the AGA because it is simple, easy, hassle-free and very forgiving.
Margaret likes to use local ingredients and her demonstrations are entertaining relaxing and fun. She says people keep coming back to take on board new ideas as well as traditional cooking – her demonstrations range from a Beginner’s Guide to the AGA, showing you how to make the most of your AGA, (including many tips), to themed
demonstrations such as healthy living, vegetarian, feeding the family, seasonal cooking, dinner parties as well as baking.
Margaret can be found demonstrating in the North West and Lake District. As well as demonstrating in the AGA shops Margaret holds private demonstrations for small groups and individual tuition to suit the customer.
Margaret's best AGA tip?
Cook in the oven and keep the lids down to conserve the energy. Read the AGA Cook Book, as you need to understand the '80/20' concept of traditional AGA cooking, cook 80% in the oven and 20% on the top.
