AGA Care is the only approved annual service and repair plan to cover heat-storage AGA cookers, of all ages, once they are out of the initial warranty period. We will ensure that your AGA heat-storage cooker has the correct number of services each year for its fuel type, and our policy of pre-emptive care ensures that we replace any functional parts we think might fail before your next service is due, free of charge. If the unexpected does happen and your AGA cooker stops working before your next service, we'll do our very best to promptly get it going again and with no additional bills to worry about.

Instant peace of mind from the experts at AGA

If an AGA representative has visited your home in the last 18 months and your AGA cooker has no pre-existing faults, your AGA Care cover will start from the day we process your application. Or if we haven't visited your home for at least 18 months - or not at all - we will treat your AGA cooker to a free health check prior to the start of your AGA Care plan.

  • How often should an AGA heat-storage cooker be serviced? Read more

As with most domestic appliances, AGA cookers require routine servicing and maintenance to ensure they continue to operate safely and efficiently.

Gas-fired AGA heat-storage cookers usually require an annual service, while the electric models should have a safety check and inspection carried out each year. The 30-amp model can be checked annually by a competent engineer for electrical safety and operation, whereas 13-amp models only require a service at 5-year intervals. Although the owner may perform some of the more simple operations, we would recommend that an AGA engineer carries out a periodic full service.

An oil-fired AGA heat-storage cooker should be serviced at six monthly intervals. 3-oven and diesel models may extend to 12 months. Solid fuel models require their internal flueways to be cleaned monthly, with a six-monthly sweeping of the connecting flue pipe. The main chimney should be swept annually.

    Arranging a service

The AGA Service Centre is based at our Telford Headquarters. Our dedicated team of experienced AGA service professionals can be contacted from 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.

When arranging a service maintenance visit, please note that your engineer will require the AGA cooker to be cool, so please ensure that it is turned off the night before. A hot cooker cannot be safely serviced.
