How can I be sure an engineer is qualified to work on my gas AGA?
For your peace of mind all AGA Rangemaster Gas Engineers are experts in their field and hold the relevant competencies to carry out work on range cookers. In addition, all of our engineers have attended advanced training courses for AGA appliances. However, if you do decide to use an independent engineer please be aware that it is important to check what work they are qualified to do before you use them. Gas engineers will often have a range of qualifications that allow them to carry out specific types of gas work.
Every gas engineer carries a Gas Safe Register ID card with their own unique licence number, showing the type of gas work they are qualified to do. Before any gas work is carried out, always make sure you ask to see their Gas Safe Register ID card.
The requirements for Gas Operatives working on range cookers are:
- 1. CKHB1 (Range Cookers)
Or all of the following
- 2. CENWAT, CKR1 and CPA1
